Handstand Advice

Dear Zach,

Thanks for checking out my blog and submitting a handstand!  I'm always impressed when a non-gymnast does a handstand!!!  I think handstand training should be a prerequisite for all sports;)  As far as handstand advice, my best piece of advice is practice... the more handstands you do, the better you'll get!  When it comes to form, the easiest way to fix your form is to practice against a wall... walk your feet up the wall so that your chest is facing the wall and not your back!  If you are trying to build handstand strength then you should do shoulder touches while you are against the wall in your handstand... lift one hand off the ground and touch your shoulder then lift the other hand (like walking in place on your hands).  Practice at your own risk.  I hope this helps.  Good luck with your handstands!!!
