Score Orienteering

Today's QOC orienteering event was a Score-O at Patuxent River Park... attempt to get as many checkpoints as possible in a certain amount of time!!!  I enjoyed the short course so much that I did the long course as well.  There is definitely a lot of strategy involved in this type of orienteering.  I made the mistake of going after a few points that were a little too far out of the way which cost me valuable time... live and learn!!!

Absolutely gorgeous day for running in the woods!!!  Thank you to the nice guy with the beautiful dog for taking this handstand picture for me.  P.S.  What kind of dog was he?  He was super cute and super friendly!!!
