2nd Day in Hawaii

It's day 2 and we're beginning our day with a hike!  We are off to an early start since most of us were awake between 2:00 am and 4:00 am this morning!  Even though we went to bed late, our body clocks still tried to get us up on East Coast time!  Oh well, I forced myself to stay in bed until at least 5:00 am and then I was good to go!  We had a quick oatmeal breakfast and off we went to...

We started our week off with an easy hike up Diamond Head Crater but added little challenges along the way to keep my high level gymnasts in shape...

What else are you suppose to do at a scenic overlook when you are a gymnast in training... half leg lifts and L holds of course!!!

And we can't forget the stair-runs!  This is one intense set of stairs... great job girls... quite the leg burner...

But all those stairs were worth the climb when we saw view...

I have a really neat panorama of the view coming soon because the picture above really doesn't do it justice!  We had this tiny little platform to stand on so it was hard to capture the view and the handstand!

After finishing our hike we decided to go to Waikiki... known for shopping, beaches, and tourists!  A "must see" so that we can take handstand pictures and say we've been there.  Luckily today was not that crowded!  This first Waikiki handstand was taken as we approached the beach.  I love the beach volleyball net in the background...

And the beach was pretty cool too...

Diamond Head is the mountain in the background of the next Waikiki Beach handstand picture.... we just hiked that this morning... kinda neat to see it from the beach...

After taking lots of handstand pictures and swimming at Waikiki Beach we had worked up an appetite and the girls were craving burgers!  Teddy's Burgers were pretty good!!!

We made a quick stop at Teddy's where we all got the Teddy's original burger and shared a side of the garlic and butter fries... yum!  After lunch we walked across the street to the beach where there was a pier and took this handstand pic...

Now time for some shopping... bring on the Aloha Stadium Marketplace!!!
