News Flash... Chesapeake Ball

So, for those of you that don't know, this is a...

"News Flash"

I recently started Ballroom Dancing!!!  And participated in the Chesapeake Ball this weekend...

I was super excited and a little nervous since I only started dancing this summer but the whole process was tons of fun...

There was hair to be done...

Thanks to Dee from JCPenny at the mall for doing my hair on such short notice!  And to the woman who was getting a perm while on vacation for letting Dee finish my up-do first!  I was going to do my own hair but chickened out at the last minute.

There was also make-up to be done...

Thanks to the girls at Sephora for doing a fabulous job... I am thankful to be a VIB member at Sephora!!!

There was a manicure to be done...

I was no longer in the smiling mood because time was ticking and I wasn't even dressed yet.  And speaking of dressed... my dresses...

Finally, the moment we've all been waiting for...

THE DANCES...

I danced a total of 14 dances including Foxtrot, Waltz, Rumba, Cha Cha, Triple Swing, and Club Swing!!!  Thank you to all of my dance partners for making this an amazing experience!!!

I also had the opportunity to try on some super fun dresses by Designs To Shine...

The event concluded with a fancy dinner where I was assigned to the pink table (there was a table decorating contest... go pink!), social dancing, a staff exhibition and a performance by some amazing professional dancers... It was like I was watching "Dancing With The Stars" live from the front row!!!  What a night!!!

Thank you to all of the staff and instructors at Arthur Murray in Arnold for making my first ballroom dance experience everything I could have imagined it to be!!!  The energy and enthusiasm for dance at the Arnold studio is contagious!!!  You guys are the best!!!
